Job description
Our firm is looking for a Legal Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to our attorneys, including maintaining legal documents, preparing legal briefs and pleadings, and conducting research. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently. We are looking for someone who is passionate about the law and is eager to learn and grow in the legal field.
Responsibilities:
Tasks
- Schedule and confirm appointments
- Maintain filing System
- Record and prepare minutes of court sessions, meetings or conferences
- Determine and establish office procedures and routines
- Prepare financial statements and reports
- Train and Supervise staff
- Open and distribute regular and electronic incoming mail and other material and co-ordinate the flow of information
- Prepare and key in correspondence and legal documents
- Review and Proofread documents and correspondence to ensure compliance with legal procedures and grammatical usage
- Conduct legal research and analysis.
- Maintain client files and records.
