The Directorate of Future Students, Marketing and Communications brings together several functions: Marketing; Student Recruitment (Home/UK); Student Recruitment (International); Recruitment Conversion; Student Communications; Communications and PR; and our Admissions Service. Specifically, the Student Recruitment (International) team is responsible for intelligent, targeted, international lead generation by combining market knowledge with up to date marketing channels.
Working in the Student Recruitment (International) team, s/he will provide effective and efficient clerical and administrative support aligned to International Recruitment activity, and will liaise with admin team colleagues across other Directorate departments to ensure a joined-up approach to professional activity and to guarantee excellent customer service.
They will be responsible for raising purchase orders and monitoring budgets within the team using PECOS and will produce monthly management reports relating to departmental finances. In particular, they will be responsible for processing and monitoring agent commission payments in a timely fashion, highlighting any possible overspends, chasing invoices and participating in regular meetings to monitor payment.
The post holder will act as an initial point of contact for staff across the University, in response to enquiries and provide advice and guidance in relation to the services and activity of the Directorate of Future Students, Marketing and Communications and will make clerical/ administrative decisions in accordance with service level agreements and target KPI’s.
The post holder will book travel, transport, and accommodation and organise freights for the team, and on occasions for staff within the wider Directorate. They will also manage relevant email inboxes on behalf of Student Recruitment (International), ensuring that a professional, customer focused, prompt response is delivered.
The successful candidate will be educated to HNC level or equivalent experience. They will be articulate with strong numeracy skills and the ability to plan and manage their own workload within deadlines, service level agreements and KPIs, as well as have a good understanding of management reporting and data analysis. Knowledge of Microsoft packages, particularly word and excel, as well as basic report writing skills are essential. They will be a team-player, confident, customer-focused and proactive.
