We are looking for a motivated and conscientious administrative assistant to join our busy conveyancing team based solely at our offices in Durham.
Our staff are a fundamental part of the service which we provide here at Freeman Johnson. We are therefore keen to hear from anyone who recognises the value of customer care and providing a good service to our clients.
The Role
We require an administrative assistant to work in our Conveyancing team specifically assisting one of our Partners directly at our offices in Durham. This is a full-time position working between 9.00am- 5.00pm Monday to Friday, and involving all administrative support including:
- Providing efficient support to Partners/Fee Earners;
- Providing quotations to clients;
- Opening new files utilising a case management system to produce documents including forms, letters, attendance notes, applications etc.;
- Dealing with Land Registry applications;
- Liaising directly with clients and other professionals;
- Making appointments and managing diaries;
- Assisting with post, photocopying, scanning, filing and file management;
- Undertaking administrative tasks including document sorting and paying disbursements.
Requirements
You will be highly organised and enthusiastic with the ability to multitask and be able to work as part of a team and independently. You should be comfortable working under pressure, be able to work efficiently and accurately and be confident, professional and courteous when dealing with clients. You should have initiative and be able to prioritise various tasks as and when needed.
Confidence in dealing with clients or customers, previous experience in a similar administrative role and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications is essential.
Previous experience working in a law firm and in particular a conveyancing department and/or knowledge of a digital dictation service/a case management system would be an advantage but is not essential as full training will be offered to the successful applicant.
