Family Medical Group are looking for someone to join our amazing team of Doctors, Nurses and Administration staff as an Administration Assistant. Each day varies with tasks, so you will never be left feeling like it is ‘Groundhog Day’.
We are looking for someone to join the team that wants to care for our patients as they would want to be treated themselves.
Douglas Medical Centre are currently within the top 10 Greener Practices, the UK's primary care sustainability network in the UK.

What we need in our team:
- Good understanding of GDPR and Confidentiality.
- Be able to work well with others in the team
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanour.
- Competent IT skills, with the ability to learn new systems and use Microsoft office.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
- Flexibility to work various shifts between 8am-6pm Monday to Friday
- Good Organisational skills
- Ability to perform under pressure
- Strong verbal and written communication skills

What You'll Do:
- Provide outstanding service to our patients over the phone, handle their queries, concerns, and feedback with empathy and professionalism.
- Assist patients with prescription queries
- Collaborate with fellow team members and other departments to provide our patients support and understanding
- Follow our Business Code of Conduct and always act with integrity and due diligence.
- Greet and receive patients promptly and courteously
- Answer telephone clearly and politely
- Establish patients' needs and deal with their requirements effectively and quickly
- Process repeat prescriptions & and for non-repeat prescriptions
- Contact patients, hospital secretaries and other agencies as requested by doctors
- Enter patient data into computer
- Deal with laboratory results as per practice protocol
- Scanning documents into patient records when required
