Job description

We are a growing family run, residential care home for children in Darlington. We are looking for someone who can work alongside the director and managers to assist with admin, HR, compliance and training of around 20 staff members.

The successful applicant will have access to a contracted HR advisory team to maintain the highest level of service for our employees.

In a typical week, you will

  • Manage HR Services for the whole Employee Lifecycle from recruitment to continued professional development,
  • Monitoring training matrix and ensuring compliance
  • Taking an active role in developing a specialism for understanding Ofsted & CQC compliance requirements and being up-to-date in updates in the residential childcare sector
  • Liaise with contracted HR advisors to ensure compliance
  • Requesting and collecting paperwork from staff
  • Support the head office with general admin duties
  • Onboarding new contractors
  • Establishing a social media presence

Skills

  • Google Workspace (Drive, Sheets, Docs)
  • Support all aspects of the employee life cycle- from queries to more complex problem solving
  • Ability to form effective relationships with people at all levels
  • Ability to communicate well over the phone, virtual, face-to-face and in writing
  • Ability to deal sensitively and appropriately with confidential information
  • LinkedIn and Twitter (social media outlets)

Experience (desired not required)

  • Experience in Human Resource administration
  • Experience maintaining records and producing official company letters and documents

The right candidate will

  • Be proactive at all times and be able to work on their own initiative without supervision.
  • Be professional and confident with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Be discrete with the ability to handle sensitive matters.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 16 per week

Salary: Up to £22,500.00 per year
