We are looking for enthusiastic and highly motivated Administration Assistants to provide support to staff and clinicians within Sussex, Surrey and Kent Dermatology Services.
We are a small team within a great company who work as an independent sector healthcare provider. We provide an NHS specialist service for the diagnosis and management of dermatological conditions ranging from acne to skin cancer. The service has a reputation for clinical excellence and is the largest provider of dermatology services in the UK.
This is a very varied and exciting role with a high level of autonomy and responsibility. Above all, you will want to take pride in what you do and have a desire to support the service's continuing excellence. There is a varied and diverse workload with some of the duties being listed below:
Administration Support:
- Speaking to patients via telephone and email with a wide variety of queries and issues.
- Booking appointments with suitable clinicians.
- Processing and coding Histopathology and Blood Results.
- Writing results letters to patients.
- Liaising with Consultants, Doctor and fellow colleagues across multiple sites.
- Investigating a variety of outstanding queries, reports and results.
- Occasionally assisting with registering referrals.
- And much more!
Planning, Organisation and Confidentiality:
- Organising own workload.
- Understanding service priorities
- Maintaining absolute confidentiality with patient information.
Experience and Skills:
- Experienced in Microsoft Outlook (Essential)
- Good literacy skills (Essential)
- High level of IT competency (Essential)
- Knowledge of Systm One (Desirable)
- Previous health care experience (Desirable)
Person Specification:
You’ll need to be a team player with an enthusiastic attitude. Ready to get stuck in with the wide variety of work that comes in each day. You need a great attention detail and accuracy. It’s important you have the ability to work self-sufficiently but not afraid to get stuck into team work where needed. This is a very process driven role, so grasping processes is essential and you will be great at multitasking and not afraid to use your own initiative. Confidentiality is essential in this role while working along side strict NHS guidelines and policies.
Above all, you’ll need to have a can-do attitude and be a big team player - ready to take on any new challenges that present each day.
This is a currently a hybrid role with our offices being based in Worthing. Currently we are doing 2 days in office (One of those days being Monday) and 3 days a home. The days of work will be Monday-Wednesday.
