We have a permanent position for a Administrative Assistant within the Maxillofacial/Orthodontic Department at Musgrove Park.
This post is a great introduction to working in administration in the NHS. Training on our patient administration systems will be provided and there may also be the opportunity for an on-line short medical terminology course.
You will be working alongside a small group medical secretaries who will be there to support you throughout your training, although once trained, we would expect you to plan your day according to your workload.
We welcome applicants with excellent IT skills including a basic knowledge of Excel.
- Dealing with incoming/outgoing post
- Updating and monitoring various departmental spreadsheets
- Occasionally receiving phone calls and taking messages on behalf of secretarial team
- Scanning and uploading patient-related documents to electronic patient record
- Requesting and tracking of medical notes
- Basic audiotyping (if required)
- Other admin duties as required
