Administration Assistant
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Administration Assistant to join our New Build Shared Ownership team based in our Canterbury office. This role covers 08.30 – 17.00, Monday to Friday and is inclusive of a one hour lunch break.
You will play an important part in ensuring the team consistently delivers a high standard of work to meet the needs of the client and also our work providers. Our team works to strict deadlines therefore the ability to effectively prioritise your workload and stay calm under pressure is essential.
Key Duties of the Role:
- Scanning/copying legal documents;
- Filing;
- Faxing and emailing forms to mortgage lenders
- Dealing with incoming and outgoing post;
- Producing letters and sending out legal documents;
- Sending payments via Bacs/cheque
- Submitting Land Registry Searches via the Land Registry Portal
- Submitting Stamp Duty via the Inland Revenue website and making the payment via Bacs.
- Updating Lender portals and other third party portals.
- Checking details in progress charts and updating excel spreadsheets.
- Any other ad hoc administration tasks deemed reasonable to meet the needs of the team in the delivery of excellent client service
- Participate in all training programmes initiated by the Line Managers.
- Report all issues of concern to the Head of Department or as they may direct;
- To adhere to policies and procedures of the Firm;
- To administer daily work within the restrictions of GDPR, Law Society Conveyancing Quality Scheme and Solicitors Regulation Authority;
- To undertake additional tasks as deemed reasonable to meet the needs of the team in the delivery of excellent client service.
Requirements for the Role:
- Previous experience working in either an office or customer service environment;
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of people either face to face, by telephone and via email;
- Use IT systems efficiently;
- Good verbal and written communication skills;
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs A – C/9-4 or equivalent is essential;
Salary: £20,500.00
Full training will be provided. You must be eligible to work in the UK.
