Are you an enthusiastic and well-motivated individual to join our Midwifery-led services Team.
You will form part of a 3 person team, which consists of our midwifery-led services liaison officer who works across both Preston and Chorley sites and our Preston birth centre administration officer.
You will be based at our Chorley birth centre where they will be required to support the continuity of carer midwifery team with administrative tasks as well as support delivery of the community midwifery service.
You will be situated at our reception desk and will provide a friendly and professional welcome to families attending the birth centre for antenatal, postnatal and in labour care. You will handle the telephone queries and will update the electronic records re: appointments.
You will possess excellent organisational and communication skills, ability to use your own initiative, work within a team and be able to work under pressure to ensure targets are achieved.
As part of the midwifery-led services team you may be expected to show flexibility and provide cover, if required, at times of annual leave or extended sickness for colleagues at either the Preston or Chorley site.

- Represent the midwifery-led service acting in a professional, courteous and customer focused manner at all times.
- Communicate with service users using telephone and email with information regarding appointments, liaise with other internal and external departments to support a positive and meaningful experience for the service user.
- Answer telephone and email queries, take messages, direct where appropriate, meet and greet and provide assistance directing visitors to appropriate departments.
- Maintain confidentiality at all times as required by legislation and Trust Policy.
