Would you like to work in a busy office providing administrative support, advice and expertise to a vibrant and caring Infant and Nursery School, where we put our pupil’s best interests at the heart of everything we do?
Due to the retirement of two staff members we are looking for enthusiastic, reliable and friendly professionals to join our committed and dedicated team. If you have strong communication skills, a warm and professional manner, are confident, able to work under your own initiative but with “team spirited” approach we would love to hear from you.
You will be organised, efficient and effective in your approach to a wide range of tasks, including safeguarding, pupil welfare, attendance, general administrative and financial tasks, reception duties and support to the Senior Leadership Team.
You will need to be:
- a friendly and welcoming ambassador for the school,
- calm under pressure,
- patient, resilient and self-motivated,
- able to use your own initiative and be resourceful,
- understanding of the importance of safeguarding and confidentiality in a school,
- IT literate, particularly with Microsoft Office,
- knowledgeable or prepare to undertake training in SIMS and Tucasi,
- qualified in Maths and English at GCSE Grade C or above,
- able to deal with regular interruptions with a smile on your face!

The main purpose of this role is to undertake a variety of administrative, clerical and financial procedures to support the efficient running of the school, including:
- producing a variety of correspondence, reports and other documents as required,
- communicating with staff, parents and other school stakeholders, via telephone, face to face and a variety of electronic methods,
- providing safeguarding and pupil welfare support, including managing health care plans and pupil medicines in school,
- maintaining office systems and records, including confidential items,
- using computer systems (e.g. SIMS, TUCASI) to input details, manage data, run reports and make returns as required,
- undertaking personnel and financial administration as required, or to support of other members of the team in carrying out these functions,
- coordination of IT queries and liaison with external IT support.
