Job Title: Administrative Assistant

Location: North of England Pathology and Screening Education Centre, 3 Silkwood Business Park, Fryers Way, Wakefield WF5 9TJ

What you’ll be responsible for:

· Act as first point of contact; receiving, screening and making telephone calls, including dealing with general enquiries from service users, resolving problems when possible and redirecting calls as appropriate to ensure that adequate and timely action is taken.

· Provide a full confidential and comprehensive administrative support to the Training Administrator and the wider NEPSEC Management Team.

· Record and brief the Business Manager or Training Centre Manager on issues that may arise when they are away from the office.

· Work under the direction of the Training Administrator on matters that may arise should the Training Centre Manager or the Business Manager be unavailable.

· Maintain both manual and electronic filing systems and databases as required by the Centre and ensure all documents are accurately and appropriately filed or archived so that they are accessible to all members of the team and the education centre’s organisational aims and objectives are achieved and policies and procedures are complied with at all times

You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS

2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times

3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

You’ll have the following skills/experience:

· Excellent communication skills- both verbal and written

· Microsoft office skills- Outlook, Word, and Excel

· Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure

· Previous admin experience

· Previous NHS experience
