- 4+ years of experience driving ethical/responsible sourcing within global supply chains and/or operations
- Experience and proficiency in project/program management as it relates to human rights and labor practices
- Expertise in regional and international labor standards (e.g., ILO)

We are looking for a Sr. Program Manager to manage social responsibility escalations. The Risk Manager will be responsible for taking action when Amazon receives credible information/allegations about Social Responsibility practices in the supply chains of products sold in our store. The risk manager will be responsible for assessing the allegations, investigating claims, scoping that impact, and coordinating crisis management of cases managing all stakeholders involved. This role will identify gaps, streamline workflows and improve processes. The risk manager will work cross functionally with the SR Escalations manager, RP, SR’s legal, team, and Compliance-Operations to manage the process end to end.
Key job responsibilities
- Create and implement workflows and mechanisms for ingesting cases from new intake channels for social responsibility escalations
- Scope emerging Social Responsibility issues and escalations, make recommendations, and take enforcement action as appropriate
- Manage incoming cases systematically, and report out on status/resolution as needed
- Create solutions for complex escalations and proactively implement processes to resolve negative service trends
- Succinctly convey complex problems in easy to digest terms for all stakeholders
- Drive supplier remediation on issues and provide sustainable solution implementation for risks identified
- Manage focused investigations for key violations or allegations, and in partnership with third party firms where deems fit
- Proactively work with cross functional internal teams (e.g., Policy, Product, Ops) to enhance and evolve SR program to drive measurable improvements on process efficiency and effectiveness
- Facilitate the development of corrective action plans with business units and suppliers and confirm resolution of non-compliance in a timely manner, where necessary
- Support the development and enhancement of SR program execution and effectiveness
- Provide feedback on scalable solutions to support supplier’s self-learning, self-monitoring, self-improvement, where feasible
- Acts as a change agent by influencing targeted supplier management behavior to improve working conditions
