The candidate will support Boeing Research & Technology in the development of Additive Manufacturing processes, materials and digital tools.
Responsibilities:
Working closely with a partner organisation delivering portfolio of projects, the engineer will act as a day to day technical focal point to:
- Manage and oversee the technical execution and performance of multiple projects
- Regularly consult and update key project stakeholders on latest developments
- Develop detailed plans for individual projects in alignment to AM Technology Roadmap
- Ensure correct methodologies and pedigree of data are used for project deliverables
- Capture project data and learnings in reports, databases and digital tools
- Present complex analytical results in a clear manner to team members and stakeholders
- Progress technology developments in a structured manner, documenting technology readiness by collection of hardware artefacts and data

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
The ideal candidate will demonstrate enthusiasm for additive manufacturing with new approaches to materials, processing, simulation and data analytics, enjoys work in multi-disciplinary and diverse team and has:
- Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study
- 3-5 years or PhD + 2 years’ experience in additive manufacturing (powder bed fusion preferably)
- Organised, analytical and with attention to detail to ensure quality of project deliverables and document key information
- Strong technical background with ability to effectively deliver complex project objectives
- Track record in ability to summarise and document key findings
- Very good knowledge of data processing, analysis and visualisation
- Very good English speaking and writing skills are essential
- Passion for Additive Manufacturing process as a whole
