Over the past year we have expended exponentially. We are now looking for a confident and enthusiastic accounts receivables assistant to now join our finance team. L3 Optics is a telecommunications contractor based in Seaham but working nationally, delivering a wide array of telecommunications services. You will be involved in a busy fast-paced environment in a quickly growing company, with many challenges and opportunities on the way!
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing incoming payments, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate records such as our PO trackers.
Responsibilities:
- Manage incoming payments
- Reconcile accounts and resolve any discrepancies
- Prepare and issue invoices to the client.
- Monitor accounts to ensure timely payments and follow up on overdue accounts
- Maintain accurate records of all accounts receivable transactions
- Communicate with Clients to resolve payment issues
- Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accuracy of financial records
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable or a related field
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records
- Highly self-motivated with high levels of discipline
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Accounting knowledge: A solid understanding of accounting principles and practices is required to reconcile accounts and issue invoices to customers.
Time management: The ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively is crucial for an Accounts Receivable Assistant.
Technology proficiency: Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel is essential for managing accounts receivable transactions.
Problem-solving: Strong problem-solving skills are required to resolve payment issues and address discrepancies in accounts.
Adaptability: An Accounts Receivable Assistant should be able to adapt to changing processes and procedures as required by the organization.
Knowledge of Xero is preferred but not essential.
