Hours 16 - 35 hours a week on a salary of £11643 to £25471 per annum depending on hours (13.99 per hour)
Julia's House Dorset and Wiltshire Children's Hospices is rated ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission and we are now seeking an experienced Carer to join our dedicated team in Wiltshire.
Our Care Team Members provide frequent respite care to children with complex medical needs in their own homes and at our hospice in Devizes. They get the chance to spend time with children and their families, really getting to know them, and creating wonderful memories.
The right candidates will have good flexibility to work particularly in the evenings, at weekends and during school holidays, as care is provided at the families’ request. (Rotas are issued six weeks in advance).
There is also a requirement to be available for mandatory training and staff meetings up to six days per year (9.00 am – 5.00 pm).
If you have any of the following and would like to join our team to provide specialist care, we would love to hear from you.
- Experience of working with children and undertaking personal care
- Experience of working with children with complex and continuing health needs e.g. autism, epilepsy
- Experience of working in special schools, giving one to one special care in mainstream schools or as a session worker, social care worker, child minder or health care support worker
A full driving licence and use of a car for business purposes are essential; and all positions are subject to a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check.
