Purchase Ledger Specialist / Accounts Payable Supervisor
Salisbury - Wiltshire
£26,000-£27,000 circa + bonus - salary negotiable
Vardey Recruitment is partnering with an established and successful business in Salisbury, Wiltshire and supporting the company to recruit a senior purchase ledger controller to join the lovely team. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller you will take responsibility for the purchase ledger for multiple sites and supervise one staff member. The senior purchase ledger role is a crucial position in the accounts team and could offer the right candidate an opportunity to progress within the accounts team.
The Senior Purchase Ledger role:
- Taking full responsibility for the high volume/value accounts payable processes.
- Management of a small team.
- Ensure the group purchase ledger is completed correctly and in a timely manner
- Ensuring all payment runs are completed on time
- Ad hoc support for the accounts team where required
- Management of month end purchase ledger closure
- Supplier statement reconciliations
- Support with developing the business, including the migration of a new accounts system
Who should apply for the job?
- Senior purchase ledger/accounts payable specialist ideally with some supervisory skills
- An accounts payable controller who can pay great attention to detail
- Good excel and IT skills
- An organised individual who can mentor and develop staff
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
