Accounts assistant – The Roseate Edinburgh, UK
We are looking for an enthusiastic, talented and dedicated Accounts assistant to join our luxury hotel brand.
Our iconic property has a luxurious selection of guest rooms & suites, a signature restaurant and a stylish bar.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reporting into the Financial Controller.
- Calculating and checking to make sure payments, amounts and records are correct.
- Sorting out incoming and outgoing daily post and answering any queries, filing and printing and other administrative tasks as required.
- Managing petty cash transactions.
- Working with spreadsheets, sales and purchase ledgers.
- Controlling credit and chasing debt.
- Reconciling daily credit cards and cash takings to the day end reports.
- Assist Financial Controller and F&B manager in monthly stock counts as well as monthly flash reports.
- Supporting Financial Controller with management accounts preparations and month-end duties.
- Handling payroll related documents, including new starter documents, timesheets
Entry Requirements:
- Have experience of working in a similar role.
- Have strong data analysis and book keeping experience.
- Attentiveness, a well-groomed appearance, initiative, loyalty, maturity, respect for confidentiality and discretion, a positive attitude and dependability.
- Have good excel skills.
- Possess the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines whilst maintaining attention to detail.
- Successfully candidate will have experience in working with SAGE.
