JOB MISSION:

As an Accounts Assistant you will be responsible for managing and sorting high volumes of invoices. Working as part of a team you will use a variety of OCR systems to help coordinate all invoices. The ideal candidate will be studying for their AAT, which we will support with during your career at New Balance.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Invoice processing for UK and foreign entities
  • Log maintenance for invoices ensuring the correct approval is obtained for all invoices prior to processing onto the ledger for payment runs
  • Setting up new suppliers
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Supplier communication
  • Posting cash from various bank statements
  • Allocating outstanding cash to invoices
  • Other ad hoc duties when requires e.g. Purchase Order matching against invoices/raw materials 3 way matching

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

  • Previous Accounts Payable processing experience is essential
  • AAT Level 2 Qualified
  • Previous experience dealing with different VAT rates & foreign VAT is desirable
  • Ability to pick up new IT systems quickly
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Deadline driven
  • Foreign languages desirable
  • Strong communication skills
  • Team player
  • Continuous improvement mindset
