Job Summary:

Dhamma Centre is seeking a creative and motivated Graphic Designer to join our team. As a Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for designing and producing a variety of visual materials that align with the Dhamma Centre's mission and values. This includes creating marketing materials, social media graphics, event posters, brochures, and other materials that promote the centre's programs and services. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of Buddhist principles and be able to effectively communicate these principles through their designs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create visual designs that communicate Dhamma Centre's mission and values
  • Design marketing materials for the centre's programs and services
  • Design social media graphics and other digital content
  • Develop and maintain the centre's visual brand identity
  • Create event posters, brochures, and other promotional materials
  • Work closely with the Marketing and Communications team to ensure that all designs align with the centre's goals and objectives
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure consistent visual branding across all materials
  • Attend meetings and work closely with the Marketing and Communications team to ensure timely delivery of designs

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of work experience in graphic design
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Strong knowledge of typography, layout, and color theory
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Deep understanding of Buddhist principles and values
  • Fluent in English and Sinhalese languages
  • Knowledge of the latest design trends and technologies
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Salary: £17,436.67-£38,272.18 per year

Schedule:

  • 12 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Overtime
  • Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Colchester: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

  • A-Level or equivalent (preferred)

Experience:

  • Graphic design: 3 years (required)
