We are currently seeking an Accounting Trainee/Assistant to join our dynamic accounting team. The Accounting Trainee/Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of the company and gaining hands-on experience in various accounting functions.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the preparation and maintenance of financial records, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
- Supporting the month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing journal entries and assisting with financial statement preparation.
- Assisting with the management of company expenses, including tracking and recording expenses, reviewing expense reports, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Assisting with payroll processing and maintaining accurate payroll records.
- Assisting with financial analysis and reporting, including variance analysis, financial ratios, and other ad-hoc financial reports.
- Assisting with the preparation of tax filings, including VAT returns and other tax-related documentation.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and other departments, to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance.
- Supporting the maintenance of internal controls and assisting with audits, as needed.
- Staying up-to-date with relevant accounting regulations, industry trends, and best practices.
- Assisting with other accounting and finance-related tasks as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
