Job description
The Finance Operations team within the Finance, Procurement and Research Services department is seeking an Accounting Team Supervisor to join them in delivering a high-quality financial service across LSTM and its subsidiaries. You will line manage a team of 4FTEs, and be responsible for managing accounts payable, billing and accounts receivable, treasury, and overseeing the reconciling of all related accounts for monthly and annual periods.
Key responsibilities include (and not limited to):
- Month-end reconciliations for accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury and payroll
- Preparation and reporting of KPI data related to the transactions team
- Set up and management of all direct debits and standing orders and authorisation of bank payments
- Approval of monthly payroll bacs payments and annual report to HMRC on off payroll workers
- Monitor supplier payment days, produce and publish metrics on payment performance
- Maintain up to date knowledge of and ensure compliance with legislation, regulations, external procedures and internal processes in the functions of Finance and Purchase
The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to foster collaborative and professional relationships in a multi-cultural environment as well as the ability to work accurately, under pressure with strict adherence to process related timelines.
Ideally you will be able to demonstrate:
- AAT/ Part qualified accountant
- Proven experience of working in a regulated environment
- Experience of compliance to legislation, regulations, external procedures and internal procedures
- Experience of dealing with multi companies with differing financial processes and multi currencies
- Proven experience of financial reporting and processing complex reconciliations
- Experience of supervising staff
