Position Overview:
We now have an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Manager to join our Engineering Team at our Swindon Plant. The Engineering Manager is responsible for the leadership of a team of experienced Engineers, which includes management oversight of multiple complex engineering projects, including New Product Introduction (NPI) and operational improvement.

Main duties:
- As Engineering Manager for our Swindon plant, you will be responsible for the supervision of a team of Engineers, as well as the leadership of engineering projects, processes, methods and procedures to improve operating performance
- You will have ownership of project management and the deployment of new processes and new product introduction, including production validations, needs analysis and equipment selection
- You will maintain approvals and processes for current products and investigate any non-conformances and incidents
- Further, you will interrogate the manufacturing value added and plant financial data to understand profitability of work streams
- Maintaining a data driven focus on Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) whilst working closely with the Quality team to ensure the Plant remains compliant to quality and Regulatory requirements, will be part of your role
- You will be a key contributor in the delivery of the Operations Strategy. Including supporting developing processes, plans and employees to meet the strategic aspirations of our business
- In addition you will identify, justify and execute continuous activity projects to meet annual productivity targets
Key candidate requirements:
- You will have a degree/HNC/HND in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent
- You will be adept at managing a team
- Ideally, you have worked in an aerospace or IGT industry previously and have knowledge of Thermal spray applications and technologies
- Some knowledge of nickel alloys and metallurgy would be an advantage

Salary: £52,000.00-£62,000.00 per year
