Southern Coos Hospital & Health Center has an opening for an Accounting Clerk I or II. The Accounting Clerk I/II will be responsible for invoice processing and ensuring payment in a timely manner. Time will be spent approximately half their work time handling accounts payable duties, communicating with vendors, clients, and internal departments, issuing checks, and assisting with AP month-end processing. The other half of their work time will be supporting payroll processing, assisting with account reconciliations, and may also be asked to assist with inventory. Accounting Clerk I/II is professional and courteous with strong computer skills and a thorough understanding of accounting and financial procedures and principles.
Skills, Knowledge, & Experience Requirements:
- Associate degree in accounting, finance, OR equivalent experience in accounting and 2 - 4 years experience required OR High School Diploma / GED and 4 - 6 years of Business Office experience.
- Knowledge of bookkeeping/accounting principles.
- Ability to use computers and software specific to accounting procedures.
- Ability to use 10 key calculators and correct operation of office equipment.
- Must be a skilled multitasker.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a drive to provide exceptional service.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication, and computer proficiency specifically in Microsoft Office and online software.
This is a Full-Time position that is eligible for benefits. *SCHHC pays the full employee-only amount for health, dental, and vision insurance. *
