This Accounting Analyst Role falls within the Finance Department which is comprised of a number of individuals responsible for accounting and financial reporting.
The Role:
As an Accounting Analyst, you will be responsible for understanding and applying methods in preparing, calculating and processing accounting reconciliations in accordance with CLS’s financial reporting framework.
You will represent CLS as the initial point of contact for any issues relating to accounting and financial reporting; as such, liaise with and support both internal and external professionals on a regular basis.

Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor Degree with a preference in Commerce/Business Administration; Mathematics and or a relevant discipline;
- Working towards a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) or relevant accounting/financial certification is ideal
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word and Intermediate to Advanced skill level with Microsoft Excel is required, ideally with some experience working in an accounting role
- Experience analyzing high volumes of information
- Organized with good communication and documentation skills.
Day in the Life:
- Revenue – invoicing clients, recording revenue in the accounting system, and updating revenue contracts as required.
- Accounts Receivable - recording of payments received, monitoring outstanding receivables, and subsequent follow-up with the clients as required.
- Expenses – recording expenses in the accounting system based on approved invoices received.
- Accounts Payable - initiating payment for expenses, monitoring outstanding payables to ensure timely payments to vendors.
- Other ad-hoc filings and reconciliations as needed: (example: Payroll Remittances, Property Tax Filings, etc.)
