A flexible opportunity for someone who is experienced at managing key accounting areas within a small business, with direct liaison to customers and senior management.
We are looking for an accountant to manage the day-to-day financial operations for the company, monthly reporting obligations and cash flow management. A keen eye for detail and problem-solving abilities are a must.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will quickly become an integral part of our team, working 20 hours per week. You are welcome to discuss working flexibly and the work pattern or way of working that suits you.
You must be able to evidence your right to work in the UK. This position is not open to remote workers in other countries. The successful applicant may be subject to a basic DBS check. We will cover the cost of this. Cover letters supplied with applications would be highly appreciated.
Responsibilities include:
- Performing bank reconciliation ensuring the accuracy of data and trace any discrepancies
- Managing accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate recording of transactions.
- Preparation of monthly/annual management accounts.
- Responding efficiently and effectively to enquiries.
- Collaborating with our Head of Finance to streamline accounting processes and procedures
- Developing our SaaS revenue accruals tracking system
- Other ad hoc duties as requested.
Qualifications:
Qualified or part-qualified ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualifications.
Must have hands on experience within accountancy.
Must have experience of preparing management accounts.
Proficient in MS Office (particularly Excel) and Google Workspace.
Must be organised, detail-oriented and able to multitask.
Must be able to work effectively without direct supervision.
