Main Responsibilities
- Reconciling all bank accounts
- Responsible for reimbursable process for US & Canada companies
- Responsible for reoccurring monthly billing process for US & Canada companies
- Responsible for recording all inter-company related transactions
- Verify and authorize payment proposals generated for weekly check runs
- Assist in compiling the necessary information needed to justify and / or clarify various deviations and fluctuations in the Profit and Loss statement during the month end closing process
- Review and verify financial entries, documents and reports
- Investigate and communicate any identified errors found during month end closing process
- Maintain accounting records
- Responsible for recording and maintaining all month end entries and accrual schedules for the US and Canada
- Assisting in the monthly financial closing process, reconciliation of ledger accounts and the financial year-end closing process
- Responsible for the reconciliation of all Inter-company ledger accounts and execution of the internal netting routine on a regular basis
- Responsible for overseeing the settlement of internal trade invoices in cooperation with other WSS entities
- Responsible for control and reconciliation of all accounts related to the flow of goods in North America, inclusive of all sites that are related to the US and Canada port operations.
- Support port operations with analysis and stock take planning, control, reconciliation, and audits
- Creating and documenting internal routines and processes as needed
- Responsible for recording and maintaining the fixed assets ledger, including new investments and various schedules as required
Qualifications
- Associates degree with an Accounting or Finance concentration or a combination of relevant education and experience
- Good command of the English language (read, speak, and write)
- Computer literate, proficient with MS Excel/Outlook/Word
- Ability to prioritize work to meet multiple deadlines
- Good judgment and ability to keep information confidential
- Ability to work on own initiative and in a team
- Independent problem-solving skills
- Good interpersonal skills and well organized
Compensation
Salary will be commensurate with the applicant's experience and requirements expressed in the job description. Hourly salary range starts at $21.50-$24.50.
