Financial Accountant
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent, Job Share
Fire Service Headquarters, Birkenshaw, BD11 2DY (hybrid)
Salary: £34,723 to £37,261 per annum
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join one of the country’s leading Fire and Rescue Services, to become part of a team where everyone plays their part in making West Yorkshire Safer.

Your role
As a core part of our senior finance team you will be working closely with internal and external stakeholders to lead on the annual closure of accounts and the production of the published financial statements, bringing a high level of technical and financial expertise to the Authority.This involves taking a full and procative approach in the delivery of financial services and building strong working relationships with an opportunity to collaborate and lead on areas of improvement and efficiency.
What you will need
You will hold a CCAB (or equivalent) qualification with post qualification experience and evidence of continuing professional development. An innovative problem solver with sharp financial acumen you will have extensive knowledge of public sector financial accounting and be able to deliver on a wide and varied area of financial work to tight deadlines.
