Duties/Responsibilities
EMCOR UK are currently hiring for a Contract Control Officer to join our team at GSK Stevenage Research Campus.
- Quality review of the completed Emcor Permit to Work’s issued, to ensure Permits issued in line with business and client requirements / SOPS.
- Provide allocated sites and contracts, support and guidance in interpreting statutory requirements.
- To ensure that all Contractors requiring attendance at site have suitable and sufficient paperwork in order to be issued with Permits / requesting further information / refusing access when insufficient.
- To undertake quality checks of the Contactors paperwork.
- Ensure third party contractor site inductions are completed as required.
- Report any non-compliances through the Emcor Intelex system for notification to the relevant team i.e Procurement, Purchasing / Compliance team.
- Assist the site teams in the completion of H&S / Permit related corrective actions.
- Act as a Site EHS and compliance representative for visiting contractors to ensure that all contractor elements of the business meet with high standards of compliance and EHS at all times.
- Promote a culture of Zero Accidents philosophy and culture, by implementing Behavioural Based Systems at Site Level
- Advise contract management on all Health and Safety legal requirements that effect the business operation.
- Promote a culture of full compliance and continual improvement for all EHS requirements, ensuring compliance with legislation and company EHS policies is maintained and practised at all times.
- Implement corporate EHS&Q requirements, initiatives & objectives to all associated BU operational activities
- Assist in the co-ordination and delivery of Health & Safety training throughout the allocated portfolio.
- Carry out planned and spot audits of operations (including contractors) within the contract, to monitor, correct and maintain high levels of EHS awareness and quality compliance
- Support operational managers to meet their key performance indicators outlined within the site specific EHS Plans.
- Maintain and promote compliance to all H&S legislation / policy / SOPs.
Person Specification
- Understanding of EHS legislation
- Previous experience within a similar role
- IOSH / NEBOSH Certificate or Equivalent (or working towards)
- Audit experience
- Knowledge of ISO systems and their implementation
- Good IT skills
- Good communications skills
- Good interpersonal and customer relationship skills
- Good presentation skills
- Clean, full driving licence
