Job Summary
· The Accounting Assistant position is responsible for supporting the accounting department in accounting and billing functions.
General Accountabilities
· Issue invoices, debit memos, and credit memos to customers
· Coordinate with shipping brokers and forwarders. Provide commercial invoices and bill of lading to necessary parties
· Track the status of overseas shipments
· Helping with month-end/year-end closing
· Aiding in financial audit fieldwork
· Performing other related duties and participating in special projects as assigned
Job Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- 2+ years of accounting experience
Skills
- Bilingual (English and Chinese) preferred
- Knowledge of basic accounting responsibilities
- Familiarity with consignment stocking programs
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability and willingness to work independently and accurately on multiple assignments/projects simultaneously
- Strong Excel skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Attention to details
- Strong focus towards customer service
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
