Position Responsibilities:
- Process bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salary employees
- Post payroll entries and update employee files in PUSH
- Update and maintain accounting journals and ledgers
- Month End closing procedures – bank recs, accruals, account reconciliations etc.
- File GST/PST and annual WCB reports
- Reconcile Merchant services and credit card
- Prepare intercompany reconciliation
- Assist with other accounting duties and ad hoc projects
- Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
- Other duties as assigned by Controller
Qualifications & Experience:
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in accounting is required
- 3+ years of relevant experience in bookkeeping/full cycle accounting.
- Experience with QuickBooks Online
- Experience in processing full cycle Payroll
- Able to demonstrate intermediate to advanced skills and knowledge of Excel, as well as other Microsoft Office applications.
- Detail oriented
- Ability to handle multiple demands, competing priorities and constant change
- Ability to allocate time effectively and manage tight deadlines
- Ability to communicate clearly, consistently, and openly
