Position Responsibilities:

  • Process bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salary employees
  • Post payroll entries and update employee files in PUSH
  • Update and maintain accounting journals and ledgers
  • Month End closing procedures – bank recs, accruals, account reconciliations etc.
  • File GST/PST and annual WCB reports
  • Reconcile Merchant services and credit card
  • Prepare intercompany reconciliation
  • Assist with other accounting duties and ad hoc projects
  • Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
  • Other duties as assigned by Controller

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in accounting is required
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in bookkeeping/full cycle accounting.
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online
  • Experience in processing full cycle Payroll
  • Able to demonstrate intermediate to advanced skills and knowledge of Excel, as well as other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to handle multiple demands, competing priorities and constant change
  • Ability to allocate time effectively and manage tight deadlines
  • Ability to communicate clearly, consistently, and openly
