What You’ll Do:
An exciting and high-profile role, reporting to the Director of Content, responsible for overseeing a large portfolio of projects with material revenues and profits.
IMG is a global leader in Multisport Production, providing coverage of large-scale live events including UFC, EuroLeague, Super League Rugby, World’s Strongest Man, World Championship Snooker and Grand Slam Tennis. We pride ourselves on enhancing broadcasters output whether on-site, through full studio analysis or non-live content.
The Head of Multisport Content will be expected to own, nurture and manage key relationships, at senior level, with federations, broadcasters and other important external businesses. As well as recognising and winning new business opportunities, the Head of Multisport Content will be expected to grow and add value to existing relationships with major clients, partners and owned assets.
This role will act strategically to link the key areas of Production, Digital, Sales and IMG Arena driving revenue to all parts of the business.
As well as line managing a senior editorial team, this role will support IMG’s inclusive culture and be responsible for inspiring and developing the whole team. The role will take responsibility for setting the
development agenda and creating new initiatives that get the best from our people. Supporting and promoting the inclusive culture around the development process is integral to this role.
The successful candidate will have extensive multisport and production knowledge and considerable Domestic and International contacts. Managing relationships with key stakeholders across a variety of federations and broadcasters and driving new business is core to the success of the role.
Will lead pitches in collaboration with the Director of Content and others. Working with teams to develop and execute all aspects of the development life cycle, from the initial concept through to the final delivery across all platforms.
This role will also assist the Director of Content in leading the overall creative strategy for the business, taking responsibility for a variety of sports output as well as making key decisions on editorial and overseeing creative talent.
Key Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To:
  • Promoting an inclusive and positive culture within our teams, supporting the values of IMG Media: Collaboration, Excellence, Inclusion, Entrepreneurialism and Persistence.
  • Leading and supporting DE&I initiatives across the business, ensuring that DE&I is at the heart of all that we do at IMG Productions. Play a key role in delivering IMG Sustainability Green to Screen objectives.
  • Lead, Manage and empower the supporting content team of Executive and Senior Producers, focusing on retention of talent and career path development. Foster an environment that drives performance and accountability across the department.
  • Shape and realise ideas to drive new business, maximising existing relationships and seeking out new relationships with clients and federations.
  • Work closely with the Heads of Production to lead and manage key commercial relationships with Broadcasters, OB Resources, Talent and Federations.
  • Provide clear instruction to legal and business affairs, human resources, finance, and all other key stakeholders.
  • Deliver value-generating initiatives to drive revenue while responsibly managing costs.
  • Reputational growth of the division internally within the Endeavor Network and externally with rights holders, agencies and clients.
You Will Have The Following Strengths:
  • Strong commercial and strategic skills, drawing on your ability to build and maintain strong relationships. Extensive experience of managing a large portfolio of programming and client relationships.
  • Demonstrable experience working in live, non-live and digital production Relevant and up-to-date production technical knowledge, including digital workflows. Relevant and up-to-date knowledge of production technical workflows analysis, across digital and TV
  • Strong market and industry knowledge. Previous experience of dealing with and managing high profile clients directly and/or via an agency. Experience of working with sports related governing bodies
  • Experience of financial reporting, managing budgets and a P&L
  • Experience leading a division with proven track record of successful growth. Proven record of driving business development initiatives.
  • Knowledge of sports rights and sponsorship activations
  • Strong management skills with the ability to lead, motivate and delegate a large department consisting of a number of teams
  • Ability to adapt and reimagine content for a new and diverse audience, responding to new trends and introducing new and modern production techniques
  • Consistent ability to meet due dates and deadlines, whilst maintaining appropriate service levels and cost budgets.
  • Ability to forge good relationships with third parties and staff in other IMG divisions
