As an Accountant in our Bellevue office, which has been in the Pacific Northwest for over 30 years, you will enable the financial success of our construction projects.


As a(n) Accountant 1 for our Bellevue office, you will contribute to our team by.

Responsibilities


Operational and Basic Accounting

  • Perform general accounting and administrative functions to help us meet our contractual requirements for operational and basic accounting.
  • Assemble client billings packages in accordance with contract terms and conditions to ensure timely payments.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions and basic accounting.
  • Complete all financial transactions in a timely and accurate manner.

Financial Expertise

  • Assemble information for internal and external financial reporting requirements based on your experience with financial reporting.
  • Identify and communicate budget variances and areas of financial risk.
  • Provide project teams with ad hoc reports and analysis as needed.

General Ledger Knowledge

  • Perform various general ledger and bank reconciliations to keep us compliant.
  • Perform various district accounting responsibilities and other duties as required.

Risk Management

  • Identify any irregularities or risk exposure and support the development of a strategy to address.
  • Review contracts and interprets trade partner documentation for the accounting-related items and assist with project setup procedures.
  • Communicate to the project team and accounting management any compliance and project risks and assist with risk mitigation.

Qualifications


Knowledge Base

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience in construction or a related industry preferred.
  • Intermediate knowledge of government legislation and generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Intermediate knowledge of project costing principles, recoveries, insurance, tax and contract/subcontract requirements as related to accounting.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and experience with accounting software.

The salary range for this position is between $66,000 and $86,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications. This will be a full time on-site position at our Bellevue, WA district office.
