Job Description
- Perform monthly account reconciliations and enter general ledger entries for entire portfolio of over 50 clients each with multiple bank and investment accounts
- Complete monthly and year end closings for all clients
- Discover, analyze, and resolve variances
- Prepare reports and financial statements to present to management and the clients Boards of Directors
- Work with the team and auditors to prepare each client’s financial statements for yearly audits
- Analyze and interpret monthly variances between budgets, forecast and actual results
- Review staff’s account payable entries to verify account coding for accuracy
- Handle multiple tasks and engagements simultaneously, accurately and efficiently while meeting deadlines
- Coordinate with community managers to create and maintain a monthly production schedule for financials statements
- Have general ledger knowledge and provide guidance to increase productivity and accuracy
- Additional duties as requested
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting preferred and 2+ years of experience in an accounting position
- Demonstrates advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office: Excel, Word
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills in all accounting functions and policies
- Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures
- Action and results-oriented, enthusiastic
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with a high work load volume
- Strong organizational and communication skills is a must
- A high level of energy and a strong bias to service excellence and getting things done with a sense of urgency
- Possesses personal and professional integrity
- Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently
