A bit about the role
We are looking to recruit a support team for a young person, in their 20s who has Autism, Learning Disability and Mental Health support needs. The person lives independently in their own flat in Whickham. The person would like to work with people who have personal or professional experience of autism. The person needs support to maintain the flat and tenancy, establish healthy routines and engage in community access. They would like support to attend college and seek further education and employment opportunities. They would also like sporty, active staff who don't mind being outdoors even when it's cold! Staff will need to be calm, good at keeping strict professional boundaries and able to adapt their approach to suit the person's needs. This is a great opportunity to work with a multi-disciplinary team, including Community Mental Health Teams, to make a really positive difference to someone's life
