Accountant
The Robert Anstey Group of Companies has an immediate opening for an accountant. Our group of companies operate in a diverse range of industries from Automotive, Construction and Recycling.
Based in St. John’s, NL, this position is an integral part of the finance team.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Reconcile general ledger accounts
- Cover front desk and customer payments
- Prepare weekly and bi-weekly payroll
- Prepare bi-weekly source deduction remittance
- Reconcile customer & supplier accounts
- Prepare & post journal entries
- Assist with preparation of quarterly & annual financial statements
- Reconcile & track cash transactions
- Prepare payments for suppliers
- Accounts receivable collection
- Maintain files
- Prepare documentation for management, as required
- Other duties as assigned
Skills & Abilities
- Able to work independently
- Accounting certificate/Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- At least 5 years of work experience
- Well organized and detailed oriented
- Extensive working knowledge of MS Office products and Sage 50 Quantum Accounting
- Good communication skills with staff, management, suppliers & customers.
