LEON is having 77 years of manufacturing experience and we at LEON are seeking a full-time Accounting Assistant to join our team. This job opportunity is located at our head office in Yorkton, Saskatchewan.

The Accounting Assistant will be an active participant in the administrative and accounting department, with key responsibilities of providing support in credit/collections and continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Requirements:

The ideal candidate brings an accounting background to the role, with a desire to learn and a sense of urgency. They need to be very organized to juggle multiple tasks and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. LEON is committed towards the professional development of its employees and welcomes candidates with the minimum skills required who possess a desire and aptitude to learn. Training is provided on the Company's systems, procedures and operations.

Education:A post-secondary accounting certificate/diploma is preferred; however, equivalent years of experience will be considered

Experience: Basic accounting & bookkeeping experience is required (at least 1-2 years in a computerized accounting role)

Duties:

This position provides tactical and operational support to the Company’s accounting functions, including:

· Entering orders into the company CRM and ERP systems

· Posting customer invoices, resolving reconciling items & applying incoming deposits

· Account Payable / Receivable

· Speaking regularly to customers for payment confirmations

· Posting vendor invoices, addressing discrepancies & processing payments

· Maintaining digital and paper records per company procedures

· Other duties as assigned

Skills:

· Proficient communicator (written & verbal)

· Ability to perform calculations and data entry with speed and accuracy

· Familiarity with any CRM, ERP or similar database systems is an advantage

· Excellent customer service skills and communication

· Basic bookkeeping knowledge & skills

· Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask
