About the role

Accountant I - Accounts Payable – Temporary position (1 year &+)

Here is the description of the tasks to be performed:

  • Reconciliation of accounts payable and related accounting assistants.
  • Prepare accounting entries.
    • Month-end and staging entries
  • Analyze the results of corporate cards by type of expenditure, by department, by resources, etc. Ability to explain results.
  • Follow-up of accounting entries for suppliers and corporate card with other departments related to accounts payable.
  • Apply controls in accordance with our internal procedures and policies.
  • Resolve problems related to accounts payable and corporate card.
  • Process requests from our internal users and suppliers.
  • Participate in the review and continuous improvement of financial processes control in place at the level of accounts payable.
  • Identify opportunities to improve and automate financial processes and controls and propose solutions adapted to business needs and the evolution of available technology.
  • Follow up on the implementation of recommendations.
  • Manage and/or provide expertise on certain projects aimed at improving financial processes and internal controls!
  • Manage the "Sustainability" report (Carbon Printing)
  • Manage internal and external audit requests.

This resource will have:

  • Diploma in accounting or university degree in finance or accounting.
  • A minimum of one year of relevant experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word); Knowledge of Oracle (an asset).
  • Experience working with an expense management tool.
  • Written and spoken bilingualism.
