About the role
Accountant I - Accounts Payable – Temporary position (1 year &+)
Here is the description of the tasks to be performed:
- Reconciliation of accounts payable and related accounting assistants.
- Prepare accounting entries.
- Month-end and staging entries
- Analyze the results of corporate cards by type of expenditure, by department, by resources, etc. Ability to explain results.
- Follow-up of accounting entries for suppliers and corporate card with other departments related to accounts payable.
- Apply controls in accordance with our internal procedures and policies.
- Resolve problems related to accounts payable and corporate card.
- Process requests from our internal users and suppliers.
- Participate in the review and continuous improvement of financial processes control in place at the level of accounts payable.
- Identify opportunities to improve and automate financial processes and controls and propose solutions adapted to business needs and the evolution of available technology.
- Follow up on the implementation of recommendations.
- Manage and/or provide expertise on certain projects aimed at improving financial processes and internal controls!
- Manage the "Sustainability" report (Carbon Printing)
- Manage internal and external audit requests.
This resource will have:
- Diploma in accounting or university degree in finance or accounting.
- A minimum of one year of relevant experience.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word); Knowledge of Oracle (an asset).
- Experience working with an expense management tool.
- Written and spoken bilingualism.
