Accountant Manager Required for Music & Entertainment Accountancy Specialists
- Up to £75,000 Depending on Experience
- 37.5 hours per week
- Hybrid Working Environment
Our client, A firm of Chartered Accountants specialising in Music & entertainment is looking to hire an Accountant Manager to join their team in the Central London area. The successful candidate will work closely with clients such as Band Accountants and Tour Managers to fulfil their statutory and legal needs. Due to the nature of the role our client is looking for candidates with previous Music Industry or Media based accountancy experience.
Main responsibilities of the role:
· Review and production of management accounts, personal and corporate tax returns
· Set-up of accounting reporting packs for new clients
· Approving of supplier and employee payment runs
· Preparation and review of statutory accounts
· Preparing and filing VAT returns
· Production and advice on monthly cash flows
· Managing staff
· Answering client queries and advising on specific accounting matters
· Consultancy projects including forecasting and planning
The successful candidate will have:
· Previous Music Industry or Media based accountancy experience.
· Familiarity with UK reporting requirements and the business tax environment
· Advanced Excel skills
· Experience in the preparation of management & statutory accounts
· Experienced at reviewing management accounts analytically
· Confident, self-starter who can work on their own initiative
· Highly developed interpersonal and client liaison skills - strong team player
· Flexible with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and work to tight deadlines
· Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
