The Team:
The Accounting/Finance team is responsible for protecting the Company’s financial assets, mitigating financial risks and reporting the financial position of the company to business stakeholders. The department is comprised of four main pillars: Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Accounting, Treasury & Inventory Control.
The Opportunity:
As the AR Accountant, you will hold a key role in the reporting and compliance functions of the Finance department, and in supporting the retail network with their accounting needs to conduct their commercial operations efficiently. You will be responsible in delivering timely and accurate period-end closing reporting of the company’s financial statements, in close partnership with the other teams within the Finance department (AP, Treasury, FP&A). You will be involved in the full accounting cycle: (i) month-end closing; (ii) balance sheet account review, analysis, clearing and reconciliation; and (iii) journalizing accounting entries.
About the Role:
- Involved in various internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with group rules and IFRS standards.
- Partner cross-functionally, within the organization, as well as with external business partners, on various project management and identification of areas for synergies and process automation for increased efficiency.
Wholesale A/R
- Reconciliation of sales between two systems [CEGID and SAP]
- Creating reclass entries for sales between different profit centers
- Partnering with the warehouse for releasing orders on prepayment accounts
- Recording of customer payments into CEGID (and SAP).
- Reconciliation of customer accounts
- Following up with customers on past due balances
Retail A/R
- Responding to all customer store credits and gift cards inquiries
- Preparing affidavits for unclaimed funds upon request
- Management of 8300 tax forms; ensuring the form is properly completed and issuing a summary directly to the customer
- Receiving customer refund requests from each boutique

About You:
- 2-3 years in finance/accounting field, preferably in a similar industry/environment
- BA in Accounting or Finance
- Strong ability to work in a fast-paced, client-serviced oriented culture where multi-tasking and hands-on collaboration and communication are critical to success
- Passion for process or system enhancements and operational excellence
- Strong team player, fosters a positive and supportive work partnerships and collaboration
- Strong ethics, integrity, and credibility
- Analytical and detail-oriented to accurately present management reports and provide sound recommendations
- Strong knowledge with systems (SAP, Cegid) to understand interfaces and find optimization and automation as available
The range for this position is $63,760.00 - $95,640.00 annually. Actual rates are determined based on the job, location, and individual experience.
