The Operations team underpins these new services, delivering essential systems and services across the infrastructure layer which provide the foundation for all IT services across the University.
We are looking for a Junior Platform Engineer to join the team and support our on premise and cloud infrastructure in Azure and Oracle Cloud. Work with modern technology at an enterprise scale is a rare opportunity to learn and make a difference to the customers of the services.
You must have the following to be considered for the role:
- Knowledge with hyperconverged infrastructure
- Experience in PowerShell/Python
- Knowledge in IaaS infrastructure
- Experience configuring monitoring tools
- Knowledge of backup technologies
- Must be able to start within 12 weeks.
In addition, you should be able to
- Demonstrate how documentation fits into a service delivery model
Good communication skills, including presentation of technical issues for non-specialist audiences
