DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES | About the role

The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining all transactions in the general ledger to include: A/P, A/R, intercompany billing; creating and processing customer and vendor invoices; entering payments; resolving customer, sales tax reporting and vendor inquiries and payment issues; reviewing and reconciling balance sheet accounts; and working with the Accounting Manager during month-end close and audit processes.

This role will report to the Accounting Manager.

As the Accountant, you will be:

• Responsible for all general ledger activities
• Responsible for customer invoicing; vendor/customer credit memo processing; reconciling and entering AP invoices; expense reports, including purchase orders; sales tax and statements; and payment application
  
• Responsible for month end close; performing reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts; and work with the Accounting Manager during audits
• Support the sales and operation teams with orders/invoice inquiries
  
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE | About you

The ideal Accountant:

• Strong background in A/P, A/R and general accounting (2-3 years)
• Experience with NetSuite
• Proficient in MS office suite, especially Excel
• Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Accurate data entry skills
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Eligible to work in the Canada
• Reside in Vancouver area (must go into office at least 1 day per week)
• Salary: CAD 55,000-65,000 OTE
