JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for the day-to-day input, processing and analysis of accounting information with an emphasis on accounts payable.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Key Responsibilities)

• Data entry into specific accounting systems based on internal department/cost centers.
• Receive, process, verify and reconcile vendor invoices.
• Prepare account reconciliations and analysis.
• Research and respond to inquiries from internal and / or external customers.
• Process and prepare checks for internal and / or external customers, based on check requests.
• Process and distribute reports to internal and / or external customers.
• Enforces all company controls.
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Some college preferred.
• 1 to 3 years accounting experience within the specific departmental function.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

• Proficient with Microsoft applications, specifically Excel.
• Lawson experience preferred.
• Ability to work within established deadlines.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently, as well as a strong team member.
