Job Scope:
Biotage has a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking for their first Finance role after graduating from university.
We are looking for a Finance Graduate to join our expanding organisation. The individual will be provided with training support to pursue completion of CIMA or ACCA. This role will be a great opportunity for someone to develop into a Management Accountant.
The purpose of this role is to provide management with financial, qualitative, and statistical information and analysis to facilitate robust and critical decision making.
Reporting to, the Finance Manager, this role supports the Finance team in ensuring accuracy of the accounts and the provision of timely information to the business. The successful candidate will therefore be highly numerate with excellent attention to detail and an ability to understand and interpret financial and non-financial information from a variety of sources.
You will be trained to be responsible for overseeing the production life cycle including inventory and variance analysis, keeping a close eye on ongoing performance, and using data and MI to provide proactive commercial insight. This will involve controlling the production module within Microsoft Dynamics 365 (our ERP system), including set up of new items, Bill of Materials, routes and costings.
You will be an effective communicator, building relationships with key stakeholders and acting as a trusted business partner to departments across the business.
Skills/Experience:
- Degree or higher in a financial qualification.
- Interested in perusing a professional qualification (CIMA or ACCA)
- Strong excel skills
- A highly organised, diligent person with exceptional attention to detail.
- Able to hit the ground running, with a positive and driven attitude to make a real difference.
- An effective communicator, with the ability to change your approach depending on audience.
- A team player able to work effectively and collaboratively across the business.
- An analytical thinker and logical problem solver.
