Job title: Financial Planning & Reporting (FP&A) - Cost Performance Accountant

Salary: £35,000 + depending on experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Support the delivery of a Finance Planning & Analysis (FP&A) service to the business and contribute to modernisation initiatives to drive standardisation, efficiency and effectiveness
- Support the Cost Performance processes through reviews with the budget owners to aid their understanding and ensure accuracy of actual data, understanding of variances to budget and informing a robust forward forecast
- Support month end process (accruals & prepayments)
- Review commitments
- Resolve billing and debt management queries of the service
- Provide support to budget owners and to build the Integrated Business Plan (IBP) (5 year business plan)
- Generate inputs for monthly financial reporting
- Identify opportunities to drive continuous improvement processes including working with the wider FP&A team to share best practice
- Support to Special Projects
Your skills and experiences:
- Part Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ CIMA)
- Strong Excel skills
- Analytical and strong eye for detail
- Good communication skills in different forms and to different levels within the organisation
- Prior experience of SAP desirable

The Financial Planning and Analysis Cost Performance Team:
An opportunity has arisen to support the Shared Services FP&A Cost Performance team. Shared Services business supports the enterprise in areas such as HR Services, Finance Operations, Business Support, IT Services, Real Estate, and Procurement amongst others.
Within the finance function, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) teams are responsible for leading the delivery of high quality and forward-looking financial analysis and insights to the business. Bringing together FP&A experts from across the UK footprint, they are the primary points of contact into business Finance Directors and provide crucial insights on the key business and financial performance.
