About Our Client
Our client are an expanding legal business growing their client based daily. They operate a small friendly accountancy team in Wirral , due to growth they are seeking an accounts assistant to join their team.
Job Description
They key responsibilities of the accounts assistant include:
- Daily bank reconciliation
- Supporting the preparation of month end accounts
- Payroll submission for external bureau
- Aged debtor report
- Liaising across the departments
- Petty cash posting
- Liaising with external bodies such as the bank
- Maintain miscellaneous ledgers
- Dealing with client accounts including payments plans/DD's
- Credit Control duties
- Purchase and Sales ledger maintenance
- Maintain all records in preparation for legal audit
- Adhoc filing and support as required by Partners or Office Manager
The Successful Applicant
The successful Accounts Assistant will have:
- Current and relevant experience within a finance team
- Legal background and knowledge of SRA rules extremely beneficial
- High level of ability in Excel and relevant accounting packages
- You must be able to work well independently under little supervision
- You must be a keen communicator and demonstrate the ability to liaise with partners and external parties
- AAT studiers or Grads considered
- Maintain a high attention to detail
- Good working attitude
- Flexibility to support the needs of the business
- Must be able to work Fridays
