Job description
Mare Nostrum is looking for an ambitious Account Manager to join the team, responsible for the sale of books, and account management of our customers in the UK and Ireland. We provide dynamic distribution, sales, marketing, data management and consultancy services to commercial and university press academic publishers.
Duties of the role include:
- Managing existing customers in the UK and Ireland on behalf of all Mare Nostrum Group clients
- Working closely with the UK Head of Sales to identify opportunities to expand both the customer base and client catalogues
- Maintaining an excellent relationship with our third-party distributor; managing orders and queries.
- Liaising with wholesalers, online customers, large & independent book shops
- Collaborating with the marketing department on sales material production
- Sales analysis and reporting
Key Skills Required:
- 1-2 years minimum bookselling experience is essential, either as a bookseller and/or as a publisher sales representative
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Book trade market knowledge and overview
