This position will be accountable for managing, maintaining and growing the relationships, customer base and opportunities to drive Samsung sales and share in the assigned territory. This includes developing and planning quarterly sell through programs sales channels within the account, and introducing and executing new product launches, presentations, and training to these external partners.
The Regional Account Manager will be responsible for driving and generating assigned revenue targets within the region’s B2C channels (Central and West). Regular management of account and channel contacts will serve to establish the Regional manager as a trusted advisor who can effectively communicate Samsung’s priorities. Experience emphasis will be placed on knowledge of, and the effective communication of, the Mobile Communications industry trends in relation to Samsung’s product portfolio. Success in this role will be measured on attainment of revenue and market-share targets, and overall creation of sales demand.
- Proactive planning and management of sell-through programs and activities for key product SKUs, to achieve assigned targets, while managing to a budget.
- Planning and execution of advertising, and promotions, on a quarterly basis, in your regional channels to maximize sales and ROI
- Secure weekly sell-out analysis, by product and channel, in the region
- Have overall responsibility and accountability for all sales channels for the Carrier Account business, in the region, including Corporate, Dealer, and National Retail channels
- Manage the assigned territory in a profitable fashion, while achieving set targets, through the collection and communication of ideas and Information relating to competition and promotions.
- Build strong customer awareness of all Samsung products and services.
- Attain all objectives assigned to account opportunities to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Provide technical support and training to the sales teams as required to identify and qualify new accounts
- Deliver carrier and end-customer facing presentations, on new and existing product lines, as prescribed by the Company sales guidelines on Samsung’s new technologies and products
- Acquire and report on marketing information, from within the assigned territory. Responsible for creating and delivering compelling sales presentations by leveraging exemplary written and verbal communication skills
- Manage the funnel development for the specific carrier with focus on the carrier B2B small, medium and enterprise reps.
- Perform long range planning to increase account penetration, customer satisfaction and sales growth for long term results and achievement of assigned quota
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Must possess a strong knowledge of industry products
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to interact comfortably with a wide range of levels in organizations: from senior executives to support staff within and outside of the company
- Strong presentation skills
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must be highly self-motivated and capable of self-directed work given only broad objectives and limited direct supervision
- Must be capable of planning, organizing and prioritizing multiple and simultaneous projects and assignments
- Minimum 5 years in Sales and Account Management preferred
- Experience within the Mobile Industry and Channels sales are an asset
- Proven sales/account/channel management experience to achieve set targets
