The role

The Property Management Team are looking to recruit a Property Management Officer to join the team in a very busy and demanding position. You will have responsibility for a portfolio of temporary accommodation including casework management of the client and for housing management and repairs.

You will need to have skills and abilities to deal sensitively with homeless households and single vulnerable clients presenting to the Council as homeless. You will also be responsible for the provision of a fully comprehensive housing management service to clients in directly managed temporary accommodation dispersed across and outside both councils.

You should have excellent negotiation skills as well as experience in both managing temporary accommodation. Applicants must be able to work in a pressured environment; ensuring they provide attention to detail whilst being able to meet tight deadlines with minimum supervision.

You will need to be able to demonstrate the ability to visit and inspect properties in line with Health & Safety Requirements and be able to specify void works required to bring a property back to a standard to be let.

It is desirable that you have access to a car or hold a current clean drivers licence.
