This is an exciting time to join our Impact and Evaluation Team as we develop and improve the evaluation of our information and support services, introduce a new framework for measuring and evidencing our organisational impact and develop our impact culture. This new team is responsible for enabling us to measure progress towards our strategic objectives and our 2050 vision of people with breast cancer living and being supported to live well. The team also plays an important role in ensuring that the voices of, and evidence from, people affected by breast cancer are embedded in our decision-making.
We have two vacancies which represent exciting opportunities to work within our new team, these being Evaluation Manager (role 1) and Impact Manager (role 2).
Role 1: Evaluation Manager – About the role
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Evaluation Manager to lead and develop our programme of service evaluations. Working closely with the Evaluation Officer and colleagues across our information and support service teams, this role will be responsible for ensuring we have a robust evaluation methodology that produces high quality impact evidence and enables service users’ voices to inform our service development and improvement. The role also has a cross-organisation focus, supporting a wide range of teams to develop their evaluation activities, ensuring that evidence the impact of our whole range of work.
About you
You will have demonstrable work experience in delivering evaluations of services or projects using a range of quantitative and qualitative methodologies, including surveys, focus groups, interviews, and creating theories of change. We expect you to have experience of creatively disseminating evaluation evidence to a variety of audiences. You should be methodical, with strong attention to detail and strong analytical skills. You will be a self-starter with the ability to work collaboratively with a range of organisational teams.
Role 2: Impact Manager – About the role
We are looking for an Impact Manager to manage the development and embedding of our new approach to measuring our organisational impact. Working closely with the Head of Impact and Evaluation and senior colleagues, this role will be responsible for developing measures and reporting processes, ensuring that we are able to evidence our impact across activities and towards the achievement of our strategic objectives.
About you
Thriving on challenge, you will demonstrate experience in conducting evaluations or other impact measurement activity, ideally within a policy, research or service development, with knowledge of impact measurement methodologies. You must have the ability to think strategically, with strong analytical, judgemental and decision-making skills. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, including confidence in working with senior colleagues and stakeholders and the ability to deal sensitively with patients and the public, as well as an ability to negotiate and influence to effect change.

Primary location of role and hybrid working
Both roles can be primarily based in either our Cardiff, Glasgow, London or Sheffield office. However, in line with our hybrid working practice, full-time staff members may choose to work up to three days per week from home.
