Account Manager
Location:
Stockport, Greater Manchester - (Hybrid working available)
The role:
We are looking to recruit an experienced Account Manager to join our Commercial Team.
Your role will be to develop and manage long term working relationships with our existing partners and to nurture and grow new partners.
You will need to be entrepreneurial to maximize the commercial opportunity as well as being into the detail, to ensure that that no stone is left unturned.
Whilst the role is mainly externally focused, you will also need to work collaboratively with our internal teams.
Key accountabilities:
- Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer account management matters
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships
- Identify opportunities to grow business or identify areas of improvement with existing partners
- Forecast and track key account metrics, identify trends and opportunities
- Prepare reports on account status
- Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
- Manage projects within client relationships, working cross functionally to carry out client objectives while meeting company goals
- Service multiple clients concurrently
- Work closely with colleagues in the Trading team to drive incremental revenue
Person Profile:
- Previous account management experience, not industry specific
- Experience of working within a client focused environment
- Ability to manage multiple projects and relationships simultaneously
- Experience of B2B relationships
- Action-orientated, and solution-focused - able to find solutions even where they are unable to help
- Previous experience of working to KPIs and delivering targets
- Demonstrates commercial awareness, keeps an eye on the market
- A track record of continuous achievement
Key Skills Required:
- Strong communication, excellent negotiation, and presentation skills
- Self-motivated
- Attention to detail
- Adaptability and strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience of MS Office and a CRM system
